I am a qualified and experienced Coach and Jikiden Reiki Practitioner. People come to see me because I have real personal life experience of healing from mental health issues and can help people, especially men, find a way forward.
I founded Wild Wolf Wellbeing off the back of healing myself through my writing as Wild Wolf, and supporting hundreds of other writers online to find their own voice. My mission is to help make sure everyone can find the help that others couldn't find!
My battle with mental health started just over 11 years ago, when I found myself in a dark place and didn't know what to do. For years I searched for a magic pill and found it hard to find something that worked. Then 4 years ago I started writing, from nowhere I found my own paths to heal. I tested what it feels like was everything, some worked, some failed! Those that have worked for me I have researched in depth and become qualified in. I now work to help others find their own ways to heal.
Read my client's storiesTim is fully accredited by the Jikiden Reiki UK Association. Jikiden Reiki is authentic Reiki without modern influence or modification, the way it was originally taught in Japan by Mikao Usui. Tim is also trained in the Western Reiki method.
In order to meet the highest standards of training and ethics, Tim undertook his coach training with Clean Learning, an ICF fully accredited course. Tim is currently doing his 100 supervised hours to achieve his ICF accreditation.
In 2023, Tim completed a Trauma Coaching Certificate with Embodiment Unlimited. Mark Walsh himself led the course, giving Tim the knowledge of how trauma can affect us, how it presents in our body and how it affects us.
What distinguishes you as a therapist /coach from other therapists/coaches?
The fact I say I am not a therapist! I am no different from you, as I have been in the place of searching for help. I am just a man who did't give up, and has learnt some tools that may just help you.
How have life experiences influenced your approach to therapy/coaching?
My life has shown me how vulnerability is courage, and how we need to embrace all the parts of life - the good and bad. It has given me an empathy and drive to find ways to help others, testing each of them before I would recommend to anyone else.
How do you look after your own wellbeing?
I write, poetry and writing became my passion in life. It is where Wild Wolf was born, but writing isn't enough. You will see me rewilding with barefoot walks, sea swims and connection - these are a necessity for me to stay healthy.
What is the best advice you have been given and who gave it to you?
KISS - Keep it simple stupid! It has been a constant phrase in my head through life, as my mind is complex and can create amazing things - but sometimes I need to reign it in. I then made a career of simplifying all the complex things into solutions for everyone else. Who said it, I am actually not sure - I want to say possibly one of my football coaches when I was a teenager?!
What is something you are grateful for at the moment?
I am grateful for the real men that have appeared in my life in the past few years and are always there. For me its been a big change and in Portugal recently it really shifted and gave me a deeper appreciation for certain things in life. I should also say nature here, as I am feeling a lot of love for the wild of nature this Summer.
What kind of desert would you be and why?
Tough question, but as I have celiac disease I will go for a "Gluten Free Sticky Toffee Pudding". Showing my sweet empathetic side, but I can also be stubborn ("the sticky part") when I put my mind to something I believe in.
Our sessions have helped me to better understand how I come across when I interact with my family so that I can have an idea of the impact that I have on them when I am down. I am now enjoying much better relationships with my children as a result of this. The sessions have allowed me to actually speak out loud and receive feedback instead of keeping my feelings to myself. The main benefit of this is that I can understand that what I am feeling is valid. I'm not 'mad', I'm not paranoid and I'm not reading too much into it. Keeping quiet allowed me to believe that I alone was wrong and continue on the downward spiral. I feel that it is only fair to mention Tim as well because without him making himself available for difficult conversations, I would not have committed to therapy.
Tim provides a safe space for traditional hands on healing using authentic Jikiden Reiki. He has seen clients successfully recover from physical conditions (e.g. shoulder injury, trapped nerve etc.) but also helping clear mental and emotional blocks.
Tim will ask you what you would like to have happen, and no matter if it is a personal, professional, family or relationship goal, he will use tools that are fun and powerful, to help you see the change in your life actually happen.
Tim is a writer, as well as a speaker. He likes to vulnerably share his own story in his work to help others understand that they are not alone. In his work he explores his own self awareness, and holds space for others to safely delve deeper into their own.
